Make Adjustments and Incorporate Interventions When Needed
At times you may find that your plans may need to be adjusted because of changed goals or set-backs in your progress toward meeting graduation requirements. Rather than giving up, it is important that you make adjustments to your plans and incorporate interventions to help get you back on track. The following are the two most common setbacks along the Path to Graduation:
Falling Behind in Credits
When it is clear that you are failing to keep pace with the number of credits earned each year to graduate on time, the following interventions have proven to be helpful for a number of students.
- Make an appointment with your school counselor.
- Look at courses which grant equivalency credit. These courses allow you to meet two graduation requirements through one course.
- Ask about online credit retrieval courses available during the school year.
- Take advantage of summer school programs offering credit retrieval.
