Advisory Committees

Advisory Committee Overview |

|
Advisory Committees consist of business, labor, industry, higher education, parent, and student volunteers who provide support and guidance to Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs across the Edmonds School District. Within the Edmonds School District, there are two types of CTE Advisory Committees:
Program Advisory Committees (PAC): These committees oversee specific program areas (see below), and provide valuable assistance in individual program curriculum development, internship placements, advocacy, guest speakers, and overall program evaluation. These committees meet 3 times a year on average.
General Advisory Committee (GAC): The General Advisory Committee (GAC) consists of representatives from each Program Advisory Committee as well as parent, community, higher education, and student volunteers. The GAC serves as an advisory group to the overall scope of Career and Technical Education in the district, and provides support through advocacy for CTE at the district and state level, and problem solving to the CTE department. This committee meets 3 times a year.
