Student Success Story in Sports Medicine Print E-mail

altMeet Shannon Reynoldson, an Eastern Washington University graduate who is channeling her love for medicine and working with youth into a career that contributes to the solution of the healthcare crisis and helps students to achieve their own education and career goals.

“As a high school sophomore, I took Introduction to Sports Medicine and quickly became hooked on sports medicine! I loved learning about the body – how it heals itself and the way it works. I grew more and more interested in Athletic Training as a profession as my time in the Sports Medicine Program continued. By my senior year I decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. In 2008, I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, and received national board certification, officially becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer. I’m thrilled to have achieved my goal and dream of becoming an athletic trainer. After graduation, I was able to return to Edmonds School District as a Sports Medicine teacher.
