Careers with Children

Mother’s name: Nancy

Father’s name: Gordy

Instructor: Phyllis Finley

What this class means to me: This class has meant more to me than any other class I have taken because it allows me to interact with children as I learn about them. It is a wonderful experience to see firsthand the changes and growth in young children, and know why they happen.

How this class has helped me: I have learned so much about myself while taking this class. Now I realize how much I enjoy working with children, and how much I always want them in my life. I feel that this is the best possible learning experience for me, because it is a combination of class work and hands-on learning. There is so much I have learned about so many things, and now I am more prepared to make the decision regarding my future career.

Future career: I want to work children into my career, and I either want to become a special needs preschool teacher or a psychiatric nurse who works with children.

Future educational goals: My goal is to eventually get a masters degree in the field I choose.
